BARCIK has been actively conducting various research initiatives and studies involving issues of agro-biodiversity, livelihood changes and access to natural resources. Having a capable staff well experienced in onsite research and equipped with contemporary participatory tools has led BARCIK to be a leading organization in social research.
BARCIK being a resource center primarily has managed to periodically publish journals and articles along with research reports to continually increase its own capacity of information and knowledge. The following is a brief list of the different publications produced by BARCIK
BARCIK publishes a newsletter named ‘Amader Poribesh’ (Our environment) based on the grassroots stories and project outputs.
BARCIK is currently establishing and formally registering a web-based news service – www.barciknews.com– presenting news as well as background information and analysis on issues relevant for its work, which is also used for internal learning and strengthening the conceptual capacities of staff.
Besides its intended national relevance for issues around development, biodiversity, agriculture and environment, is also be used directly to share experiences and learning by this way from each other amongst staff, communities and other interested stakeholders.
